Alcacer featuring even less than first thought...
One of the biggest transfer sagas of the summer was certainly Barcelona's search for a striker and having signed Paco Alcacer, Luis Enrique's willingness to play him is rather fledgling.
Forking out 30 million euros for the Spaniard, the Blaugrana coach isdemonstrating his flexibility in attack and midfield seemingly at the expense of his latest recruit.
Playing just 118 minutes in the opening month of the season, Alcacer is yet to find the net and has primarily been a substitute for star striker Luis Suarez.
Such a niche opening in the side is proven further by Enrique's preference for Arda Turan or Rafinha when taking Neymar or Lionel Messi out of the side.
Taking the full squad to Germany with Borussia Monchengladbach on the horizon, now may be the time to give the newboy a taste of major Barcelona action but having made five Champions League appearances for Valencia, Alcacer is yet to hit the back of the net.
