Bravo: I told Barcelona that I didn't want to sit on the bench

Adesire for more playing time was the reason Claudio Bravo gave for leaving Barcelona, having been promised more minutes in all three competitions at Manchester City, most notably the Champions League.
The Chilean keeper was honest in his justification for switching clubs, as it was a choice that benefited both him and the clubs involved.
"I was honest and told Barcelona that I didn't want to sit on the bench," Bravo said to Cadena Ser. "They offered me another contract, but we were honest with each other and I didn't want to spend four years hardly playing."
The player also took the opportunity to clarify his relationship with Marc-Andre ter Stegen, which he claims was misrepesented in the press.
"In the end it is frustrating because what was said isn't true. We've never had any problems- in fact we benefited from the competition."
