Odegaard misses out on Norway call-up.....

Alack of first-team football is to blame for Martin Odegaard being dropped by the Norwegian senior side.

The 17-year-old first missed out on the call-up last month when Norway began their World Cup qualifying campaign and yet again he's stuck with the youth squads.

"We were confident that he would have left on loan to play at a higher level," Norway coach Per-Mathias Høgmo told reporters, "that's the main reason he's not in the team."

Having been the youngest-ever player to partake in a European Championship qualifier at the age of 15, Odegaard will now be part of the Under-21 side facing Switzerland and Kazahkstan next month.
