Real Madrid's 80th minute curse.....
History repeated itself on Tuesday night as Real Madrid conceded after the 80th minute to relinquish their lead in a vital game.
First it was Las Palmas, scoring in the 84th minute to seal a 2-2 draw in Gran Canaria and put the stoppers on Los Blancos' pursuit of the league title.
Now it's Borussia Dortmund, delivering an 87th minute hammer blow to once again earn a point and end the game at 2-2 in their Champions League encounter.
On both occasions, Real led twice and came within minutes of a massive away win, and yet now are left with two points that would be pretty satisfactory were they not off the back of solid performances.
Certainly at Signal Iduna Park, Madrid did little wrong throughout the game and more than matched Borussia going into the latter stages.
Zinedine Zidane is no stranger to winning both as a coach and player, but now faces a tough task to re-instil his side's ability to grind out games and take all three points, something he must do sooner rather than later.
