Atletico nearing 200 goals at home under Simeone

He has led Atletico Madrid through the most difficult of times and now Diego Simeone's side stand on the verge of scoring their 200th LaLiga goal at the Estadio Vicente Calderon under his stewardship - which began on January 15, 2012.
That date was also the first of many victories under Cholo and against Malaga on Saturday, Antoine Griezmann, Kevin Gameiro and Fernando Torres will look to add to their tallies as none have scored since the domestic competition resumed after the international break.
Simeone's first match in charge was against Villarreal and the first three goals of the 198 were scored.
Falcao got two, one a penalty, while Diego Ribas was responsible for sealing the thrashing of the Yellow Submarine.
Since then, 195 have been scored by the likes of Diego Costa, David Villa, Mario Mandzukic, Griezmann, Torres and Gameiro.
The latter three have the possibility to score the 200th against Juande Ramos' side and the French pair are champing at the bit after three consecutive games without scoring.
El Nino, meanwhile, will wait for a chance from the bench but he too has been in poor form.
Since the end of the international break he has failed to get a single shot on target.
Yannick Carrasco, Nico Gaitan and Saul have also shown that they do not lack inspiration in the area, and could come up trumps on Saturday.Diego Simeone gave his first hint as to how he would cover the absence of starting midfielder Koke Resurreccion, with Saul Niguez and Nicolas Gaitan ready to fill in as needed, sending Angel Correa back to the bench.
As such, a bit of a positional reshuffling would take place, with Niguez in a more central role in the double pivot while Gaitan would take over on the right wing where Correa had been playing.
The rest of the XI for the scrimmage was as expected, except for goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who is still recovering from injury, so the recently returned Miguel Angel Moya took his place.Ignacio Camacho decided to leaveAtletico Madrid to launch his career in Malaga, but he is looking forward to returning to the Estadio Vicente Calderon.
He traveled a distance of 500 kilometres to better himself as a player and he has succeeded, because on Saturday he arrives with the captains armband on his right arm.
A symbol of growth experienced by the midfielder who notes that despite the passage of time, he still has a feeling of belonging at Atletico.
"I had many unforgettable experiences there," Camacho told MARCA.
"I was treated well and I always felt part of the family.
"I have a special feeling [about returning to Atleti], although it is always the case because the people are very nice to me."
The player was also under no illusions as to the test that his new side face against Diego Simeone's side.
"You're seeing a much more offensive team, combining those in the centre and the use of more people on the wings," he continued.
"All this without forgetting to be generous in their effort."
Malaga's players will also be working extremely hard to get something from the match, and Camacho doesn't rule it out.
"There is no exact formula to get something positive against a team like Atletico'" he concluded.
"We know it's possible, but we have to make a perfect match."
