Juventus are enjoying the revival of Sami Khedira's goalscoring form, with the midfielder feeling more confident of rippling the back of the net in Turin than he ever did in Madrid.
Already the German has scored more goals in just over one season with Juventus - with seven to his name - than he did in five years at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu - when he scored just six times.
With two goals to begin the 2016/17 season, Khedira has equalled his best goalscoring start to a campaign, matching what he achieved with Stuttgart in 2007/08.
"I am scoring more goals since I arrived at Juventus," the 29-year-old told Italian newspaper Tuttosport.
"Thanks to my new position on the field I feel more likely to score.
"With Real Madrid I played further back.
"It is a matter of what position I'm playing, which is why I am scoring more frequently now."
Massimiliano Allegri is certainly reaping the rewards of playing the German slightly further forward as he netted decisive goals in the 2-1 win over Fiorentina and the 1-0 win over Lazio.
Although he managed to score for Real Madrid at the Camp Nou, fans of Los Blancos rarely saw Khedira's name on the scoresheet, given that he scored no goals in 2010/11, two in 2011/12, three in 2012/13, one in 2013/14 and none in his final campaign of 2014/15.
Even with Germany, the midfielder is back amongst the goalscorers.
The Juventus man scored a header in last Tuesday's 2-0 win over Northern Ireland, which was his first international goal since scoring in the 7-1 rout of Brazil at the 2014 World Cup.
