There's no doubt where former Argentina coach Cesar Luis Menotti's loyalties lie when it comes to naming a player who deserves the Ballon d'Or more than any other, and the elder statesman is still miffed as to why Andres Iniesta hasn't received the honour.

"I keep waiting for the Ballon d'Or for Iniesta because he is the best player in the world," Menotti told the Directo MARCA programme.

"Busquets is the best midfielder in the last 50 years and Modric isn't at ease in that position," he said.
Questioned about Argentina's international side, the answer given was expected.
