Saul: Simeone is everything for myself and Atletico

Rumours of Diego Simeone considering a departure from Atletico Madridrepresent a heartbreaking possibility for Saul and his teammates, who value the coach endlessly, according to the midfielder.
Few can be said to have had such an impact on the Spaniard's career as Simeone, who brought Saul into the first-team setup with great returns thus far.
"For myself and the rest of Atletico it's the same, Simeone is everything," Saul stated to reporters. "He's the person who's bet on me since childhood and gave me my debut.
"He was also there in the tougher times, when I was younger and didn't play often he would look me in the eyes and tell me: 'Saul, you won't play until you go out on loan and grow as a footballer'.
"It's something I appreciated very much, because playing is the best way to grow, as much as you can train with the best and learn from them, if you don't play you don't have competitiveness. That moment was key."
There's not much more fans can ask of their team that being willing to give absolutely everything for the badge, and Saul believes Simeone has instilled a never-say-die attitude within the club.
"It's something that a player who comes from outside must understand about Atleti. When you come here you know that the players give so much for eachother, and on a personal level I value that a lot," he added.Diego Simeone has confirmed that he will be staying at the Estadio Vicente Calderon for the foreseeable future.
The Argentine left the door open after suffering defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final in May, saying he needed time to think it over.
"Working from Buenos Aires", read a tweet from Simeone from his place of birth in Argentina, clearing any doubts that Rojiblancos fans may have about his future.
A photo was attached to the tweet, in which Simeone is busy planning for next season with Atletico owner Miguel Angel Gil Marin and technical director Andrea Berta.
Atleti will be hoping to improve on their third place finish in La Liga from last season, while the club have been heavily linked with a move for former player Diego Costa.
