Andre Gomes, Rakitic and Cillessen return to work



Little by little Barcelona are getting their international players back, and on Tuesday Andre Gomes, Ivan Rakitic and Jasper Cillesen returned to training. First-team staff were at a bare minimum though so they were also joined by youngsters Marlon, Alfaro, Abeledo, Carbonell, as well as Marc Cardona. The bulk of the first-team return later in the week to prepare for the next game, on Saturday against Malaga at the Camp Nou. South American's Leo Messi, Javier Mascherano, Neymar Jr. and Luis Suarez are still involved in World Cup 2018 qualifying matches. Suarez's Uruguay travel to Chile to try and maintain second place in the group, while Argentina play Colombia.
Brazil will play in Peru, defending top spot. Denis Suarez is with the Spanish U21 in a momentous Euro 2017 game against Poland whilst the senior European sides will only be taking part in friendlies. Germany (ter Stegen) play Italy; Spain (Sergio Busquets and Sergi Roberto) are at Wembley against England, while France (Digne) play in Lens against Ivory Coast. Looking ahead to the Malaga game, Luis Enrique is hopeful that Gerard Pique and Jordi Alba will be fit, while Luis Suarez (suspended), as well as Andres Iniesta, Jeremy Mathieu and Samuel Umtiti (all injured) are ruled out.
