Barcelona looking to end Manchester City's Champions League dream

Barcelona will take on Manchester City on Tuesday evening at the Etihad Stadium knowing that a win would all but seal progression into the round of 16 stage of the Champions League for the 13th consecutive season.
The same cannot be said of Pep Guardiola's men, though, who cannot afford any other result but a win if they do not want to overcomplicate their future in the competition this season.
With just three matches to play, the Catalans have a golden opportunity to leave their English rivals with one foot out of the Champions League.
Another defeat to Barcelona, following their 4-0 thrashing in the previous matchday, coupled with a likely Borussia Monchengladbach victory over Celtic in the other fixture of the day would see the Germans leapfrog the Citizens into second spot with two matches remaining.
Such a scenario would mean the Guardiola's side must avoid defeat in Germany - a not-so-easy prospect - to keep their hopes alive.
Whereas victory for Barcelona would lift a burden of the club's shoulders and allow Luis Enrique to rotate the squad heading into the winter break.
Regardless, the match promises to be yet another blockbuster - both sides enjoy keeping the ball and shutting down space in the middle of the park.
Not to mention the stars that will be on show; Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luis Suarez, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and Kevin De Bruyne to name a few.
