1. How can you explain such a match in Barcelona?
There is no justification for it because Barcelona came to the Estadio de Anoeta under no illusions. On the one hand, Real Madrid's win meant that the Catalans already knew that they will have to suffer in the Clasico and a poor result in San Sebastian would've seen Luis Enrique's side enter their most important game of the season with their heads down. Knowing what was at stake, the performance that Barcelona then produced was deplorable. There was no intensity, they spent the game running behind the ball in the huge rondo that characterised Sociedad's play and the attitude was all wrong. Rulli wasn't troubled at all in the first half and the point with which they returned was an excessive reward for a terrible night's work.
2. Did Eusebio win the match against Luis Enrique on the training pitch?
Luis Enrique was not able to find the antidote for the Real game - again. La Real had worked all week on set plays and strategy and Eusebio's perfect triangles ensured that it was Barcelona who would be forced to do all of the running for a change. Finally, Luis Enrique didn't look to the bench to find solutions late in the game, when perhaps Rafinha or Paco Alcacer may have offered something different.
3. Does excessive 'Messidependence' become dangerous?
Lionel Messi cannot solve all of Barcelona's problems. He already did in Glasgow last Wednesday and scored another goal on Sunday, but he needs more presence from his teammates. Neymar and Luis Suarez have begun to forget where the goal is but the Catalans can't always just be about Messi.
4. Should Pique have been subbed because of his physical problems?
Only the defender himself knows how he felt, but it's possible that he also thought that to put Marlon on would be to throw him to the lions.
