The level of antagonism between Barcelona and Real Madrid was once difficult to bear, but the cordial exchange on Twitter between team captains Sergio Ramos and Andres Iniesta looks to have finally consigned that period of club rivalry to the history books. Both players are continuing to work towards recovering from their respective injuries in time for the biggest clash in the Spanish football calendar, and are missing from the Spain squad for their fixtures against Macedonia and England as a result. "Ending the week with good feelings after a job well done ... not bad !!!" Iniesta tweeted. "So we'll see each other in El Clasico, hopefully we can both be together," Ramos responded after wishing Iniesta a speedy recovery.
It was an answer that will have cheered Julen Lopetegui. Two of his heavyweights, rivals with their clubs, showing a solid friendship off the field. Luis Enrique is looking to reincorporate several injured players into his squad, and none moreso than Andres Iniesta, whose creativity in midfield has without a doubt been missed for the Blaugrana. The Clasico is the match Iniesta is targeting to make his return, but it will most likely be as a sub, even as Real Madrid hold a two point cushion at the top of LaLiga table. The best case scenario is the December 3rd return but there is still a chance the Spanish maestro doesn't play again until 2017. Iniesta's recovery is going as planned and he enters the decisive second stage of his recuperation. With no risks being taken, even in a Clasico, the most supporters will see of Iniesta is as a substitute.
