Juanfran: I'm sure Atletico will beat Real Madrid

Atletico Madrid suffered a disappointing 2-0 loss away at Real Sociedad on Saturday afternoon, but right-back Juanfran is confident that his side can bounce back by defeating Real Madrid in their next match. The international break follows this weekend's action, before the two capital city sides clash at the Estadio Vicente Calderon on November 19. "Atletico Madrid now have more time to plan ahead for this important game," the defender said of the upcoming derby after the full-time whistle rang around Anoeta. "We approach it with our heads held high and I'm sure that at home we'll win."
Asked about the Real Sociedad match, Juanfran insisted that Los Rojiblancos would leave with no complaints and praised the performance of the Basque side. "There are no excuses," the right-back said, echoing the comments of his coach Diego Simeone. "We were aware of the potential that Real [Sociedad] had and they played a good game. "They were better than us and we must congratulate them. "Now we need to think ahead to the next game."
Having been left out of the last Spain squad, Juanfran will have even more preparation time for that match.
