Kameni: Better than Casillas against Barcelona

With his top-class reflexes, safety and agility, Carlos Kameni has become the goalkeeper who has conceded fewest goals against Barcelona this century, even beating Real Madrid's Iker Casillas. On seven occasions he has managed to keep out the likes of Lionel Messi, Neymar or Andres Iniesta - three as a keeper with Malaga and four whilst custodian at Espanyol.Four of those shutouts have come at the Camp Nou and only a Thomas Vermaelen goal last season stopped Kameni adding another clean sheet to his tally.Casillas is the second most effective keeper to play against the Blaugrana and during his time at Real, the No.1 kept Barcelona at bay in no less than six matches. Of the 37 games played against the Catalans, Casillas has kept three clean sheets at the Camp Nou. Next in this list come Gorka Iraizoz and Thibaut Courtois.
Iraizoz held firm on five occasions for Athletic Club whilst Chelsea keeper Courtois stopped Barcelona scoring four times when custodian at Atletico Madrid. Malaga has tempered the expectations among Barcelona supporters, Arda Turan remains confident the Blaugrana are poised to have a successful 2016/17 season. An otherworldly display by keeper Carlos Kameni prevented the reigning LaLiga champions from keeping pace with current leaders Real Madrid, but the Turkish star urged supporters not to give up on the squad. "Well keep working hard and we are going to win all trophies at the end of the season," Turan wrote on Instagram. "Visca Barca." The Catalans, who sit atop their Champions League group with nine points, will travel to Celtic Park, where the hosts consistently challenge some of the best European sides. Stuart Armstrong scored Celtics only goal this weekend against Kilmarnock, enough to secure the victory for the Glasgow-based club.
Barcelona must obtain a satisfactory result against the super hoops in order to advance to the round of 16 without having to deal with Borussia Moenchengladbach at the Camp Nou after El Clasico.Bengoetxea became another protagonist in the match between Barcelona and Malaga, the Catalans absolutely furious with the official's performance. The hosts' chief complaint surrounded the fact that the Basque referee denied Gerard Pique two clear penalties. Firstly, a grab by Llorente went unpunished and then Mikel Villanueva pulled the Barcelona defender's thigh, causing him to fall to the ground. Although the referee would go on to harshly red card Llorente, he again angered the Catalans by ruling Pique's late goal out for offside. Malaga would also end the game infuriated by the extra minutes added at the end of the match. Four minutes were signalled yet De Burgos Bengoetxea played 97. Juankar's expletive ridden outburst saw him handed a straight red - yet another decision that placed the referee right at the centre of the debate surrounding Saturday afternoon's game.
