Marcelo has already begun Madrid derby preparation

Thanks to the yellow card he received when fouling Sergio Aguero in the recent Argentina v Brazil World Cup qualifier, Marcelo will miss the Selecao's next game against Peru and as such, is already preparing for his biggest club game of the season so far, the Madrid derby on Saturday, November 19.Playing for his country is the pinnacle for the left-back and so in that sense he has some regret that he'll not play the next game, however with so many injuries to contend with, Zinedine Zidane will be delighted. Thirteen Los Blancos players are away with their national teams and five are already injured: Kroos, Benzema, Casemiro, Pepe and Ramos.
Of all of them, only the German is definitely ruled out against Atletico. Filipe Luis, teammate for country but opponent in the derby, will take Marcelo's place against Peru but that will force him to return to Atleti training with little time to prepare. Marcelo will be back at Real next Monday and throughout the week his teammates will arrive. The last to return will be James Rodriguez, who plays for Colombia against Argentina on Wednesday, and Keylor Navas who faces the United States in San Jose for Costa Rica.
Brazil and Argentina in Belo Horizonte, which ended with a clear victory for the Selecao, Marcelo was given a yellow card meaning a suspension for Brazil's next game against Peru. Although the player may well be disappointed to miss out, his coach at Real Madrid, Zinedine Zidane, will be delighted. It means the safe return of one of his key players before the upcoming Madrid derby, which will be played at the Estadio Vicente Calderon on November 19.
