Real Madrid quartet aiming for derby return



Decimated by injuries in recent months, Real Madrid could be set for a pre-Madrid derby boost after it emerged Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema, Casemiro and Pepe are all currently training with a view to making the November 19 clash. Down to the bare-bones in light of international call-ups, what remains of Zinedine Zidane's squad prepared for the match at Valdebebas on Friday, with the injured quartet also doing light work as part of their respective recovery programmes. Benzema, Casemiro and Pepe worked separately from the main group of Fabio Coentrao, Danilo, Kiko Casilla and Ruben Yane, while Ramos combined gym exercises with technical and fitness work. All four have targeted the match against Atletico Madrid for their comeback.
Toni Kroos, meanwhile, continues his rehabilitation from a metatarsal injury in his native Germany and will definitely miss the clash against Simeone's men.Madrid staff and fans alike are still casting nervous glances towards the treatment room ahead of their clash with Atletico Madrid but Karim Benzema, Pepe, and Casemiro were all able to work outside on Thursday. With Toni Kroos out, the Brazilian anchor man's fitness is key and whilst he's not expected to make the trip to Los Rojiblancos, he did train with the ball as he continues his comeback from a leg fracture. Sergio Ramos also partook in physical activities although Mariano and Kiko Casilla sat out the session, the young striker suffering from flu.Ziinedine Zidane was given a fitness boost by two key players within his defensive system:Casemiro and Sergio Ramos. Both inching closer to their returns, the fact that they are now getting some touches on the ball are good signs for a coach in need of fully fit players given so many key injuries as of late. Karim Benzema, Toni Kroos and Pepe also underwent recovery sessions for their injuries.
