Collymore: Deluded Guardiola to return to Spain with his tail between his legs

Manchester City's recent slump in form has seen Pep Guardiola come under fire from sections of the British media, with well-known pundit Stan Collymore the latest to deliver a damning assessment of the ex-Barcelona coach's 'deluded' tactics.
Despite a promising start to life in north west England, the Catalan tactician has overseen back-to-back hammerings by Chelsea (3-1) and Leicester City (4-2) in the league.
And as clamour grows for a more pragmatic approach to games from the City boss, Collymore has slammed Guardiola's tactical approach to matches, saying that he'll be set for a swift return to Spain if he fails to adapt his style to the English game.
"If he thinks he's going to turn up and outplay everybody in the Premier League, and that teams like Watford, Leicester, Bournemouth, Southampton and Crystal Palace are going to let his Manchester City side have the ball for 90 per cent of the time and pass pretty patterns around them so they can get a result, then he is absolutely deluded," wrote the ex-Liverpool striker.
"In fact, he is beyond deluded.
"And if he thinks he doesn't need to teach tackling or one-on-one combat in training then he'll be going back to Spain with his tail between his legs."
