Few are willing to put themselves out on the line to praise the job former Real Madrid boss Rafael Benitez did before Zinedine Zidane took over, but Real Soceidad coach Eusebio Sacristan did just that on Tuesday.
The txuriurdin are one of LaLiga's teams of the moment, so much so that some have hinted at a possible return to the Blaugrana club.
"Zidane deserves a lot of credit, but so does Benitez," Eusebio said. "Benitez has proven throughout his career that there are certain tactical aspects that he has worked very hard to establish and this current Real Madrid show traces of that.
"Real are now solid, and defensively compact, but without sacrificing the quality and efficiency [they've always had].
As to whether he will return to manage Barcelona, after already coaching Barcelona B, the Basque club's boss is fully focused on his current club and not on the rumours meant to destablise matters.
"I've been at Barcelona three times and the truth is that I'm very happy at Real Sociedad," Eusebio said. "I'm in the ideal place to carry out my dreams as a coach."
