In a single calendar year, another three titles have landed at Barcelona's door, all on the domestic front, but while their success remains constant, what's different about the Blaugrana from 12 months ago?
Neymar's drought
MSN may still be the preferred frontline of Luis Enrique, but Neymar's contribution in 2016 has been his worse since his 2009 campaign with Santos, in terms of goals. Without a LaLiga finish in eight games, the Brazilian has fired home just 29 times, in comparison to the half-century of Lionel Messi , with Luis Suarez not far behind the Argentine.
Trouble at home
Too many teams are enjoying their big day out in Catalunya. Atletico Madrid, Malaga, and Real Madrid have all taken a point back from the north-east in 2016 with Alaves, Valencia, and Los Blancos even attaining a win at the Camp Nou.
Custodian case closed
Marc-Andre ter Stegen finally has the goalkeeper's gloves all to himself, and it makes for consistency if not comfort amongst the Blaugrana defence. However, the team is matching the goals conceded ratio of 2015.
Right hand man
Dani Alves left a gaping hole in the Barcelona right flank when leaving for Juventus in the middle of 2016, and Sergi Roberto's rise to fill that gap has been impeccable. Holding out Aleix Vidal and convincing his coach that no immediate signing was necessary, this position has seen a real changing of the guard that must soon be echoed across the pitch.
0 signings vs 6 signings
With Arda Turan and Vidal compelled to wait until January of last season to make their debut, due to the FIFA transfer ban, the slight stagnation of the squad in 2015 has given way to a huge turnover since. Six players were brought in during the summer; Paco Alcacer, Lucas Digne, Denis Suarez, Andre Gomes, Jasper Cillessen, and Samuel Umtiti.
La Masia made to wait
A number of talented homegrown players have left the club in search of game time in 2016; Marc Bartra, Sandro Ramirez, Sergi Samper, and Munir El Haddadi the most recognisable names. Astoundingly, given La Masia's esteemed history, a number of starting XIs have been devoid of Barcelona academy graduates, a trend that will be interesting to watch in 2017.
