Currently on loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, Real Madrid centre-back Jesus Vallejo knows a thing or two about defeating Borussia Dortmund, as his side did so recently on November 26 in the Bundesliga, a feat Real Madrid hope to replicate. Giving his ten keys to the game, the 19-year-old defender especially emphasised what Los Blancos need to do defensively speaking, and stopping Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is a huge part of it. "Eintracht Frankfurt used two players to stop Aubameyang," the youngster told MARCA. "Positionally, the team is very well drilled and they are dangerous in transition. "I hope Real Madrid can win, but what is clear is that this is a match between two top teams that don't hold back." Instead, Real Madrid must focus on playing to their own strengths, such as their very own transitions and counter-attacks. "Every single line has a lot of quality, and with a single pass, Real Madrid can reach the opposing team's penalty area," he concluded.Germany, they are still rubbing their eyes at the talent of Real Madrid loanee Jesus Vallejo, with Eintracht coach Niko Kovac as stunned as anyone. It's entirely fair to say that he has been one of the sensations of the Bundesliga in 2016/17 and his latest exhibition has left everyone dumbfounded.
"I have never seen such a player," Kovac said. "This guy is scandalous." It's not only the coach who is enjoying Vallejo's presence in the side either, his teammates are ecstatic. "Right now he's our best player," goalkeeper Lukas Hradecky said. "Vallejo makes my job much easier." The player is keeping his feet on the ground because he has only just begun, there's still a lot of season left and he prefers to succeed at Los Blancos. Those at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu are starting to follow his progress very closely and they too are excited by the jewel in the Eintracht crown.
