Osasuna may be languishing at the foot of the LaLiga table but Real Madrid will feel the weight of history behind them if they secure three points in Pamplona on Saturday.
Not since the 2011/12 campaign have Los Blancos claimed victory at Estadio El Sadar, which has become something of a bogey ground in recent years.
Drawing with Osasuna on their last two visits, Real will know that imitating the triumph of Jose Mourinho's 100-point side could also push them to glory, as it did for the Portuguese coach after a 5-1 win in April 2012.
That victory accounts for Los Merengues' only success at El Sadar in six visits, a run preceded by a 2-1 scoreline that helped them to the title under Bernd Schuster in 2007/08.
With that precedent already set, Real's current charges can continue their own domination of LaLiga this weekend, although playing after Barcelona could see them start the game in second place and with three games in hand.
