Ahead of the clash against Osasuna, there is both a certainty and several doubts in Real Madrid's midfield, as Toni Kroos will not be able to play at the Estadio El Sadar.
The former Bayern footballer will serve his suspension in Pamplona after Real Madrid's match against Celta Vigo was postponed.
Now, doubts remains with Casemiro the only guarantee, since he is the only midfielder in good form ahead of the match.
However, Luka Modric should be next to him, coming back from an injury against Malaga on January 21.
Though iit was not a serious injury, he missed both the last two games, against Celta in the Copa del Rey and against Real Sociedad in LaLiga. He started to train again with the group and he is supposed to be ready to come back on the pitch.
Before and after Malaga, it has been his compatriot Mateo Kovacic who played in Modric's place, so he will probably be in the starting XI.
However, what it is still unclear is whether coach Zinedine Zidane would like to play with three or four midfielders.
With Ronaldo and Benzema starting in attack, there could be a place for James Rodriguez, who has not played an official minute since Real Madrid-Granada on January 7.
Lucas Vazquez, Isco and Marco Asensio are also alternatives for the right wing spot this week.
