Not for the first time, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has again stoked the fires over a potential move to Real Madrid by admitting that Los Blancos are 'the club of his heart'.
In what could be interpreted as his latest come-and-get-me plea to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu hierarchy, the self-confessed Real Madrid fan and current Borussia Dortmund sharpshooter again signalled his intent to play for the Champions League winners at some point in his career.
"Madrid is the club of my heart and I promised my grandfather I would play for Real one day," Aubameyang told Onze Mondial.
"It is a goal, I still have time. I do not mean to provoke interest, if Madrid want me they can come and get me, but so far they have not done so... unfortunately."
Although contacted by several clubs- including Real Madrid and PSG- over the summer following another spectacular season in front of goal, the forward admitted he came closest to signing for Manchester City during the window.
"My father spoke to them," he added. "Nothing materialised but I was close."
